What is an ABAi Certified Aircraft Broker?

ABAi was founded by aircraft brokers to move the aircraft brokerage industry into the 21st century. By establishing minimum certification standards for aircraft brokers, the buying public can be assured that the Certified Aircraft Broker they are dealing with operates with knowledge and integrity. This benefits aircraft buyers, aircraft sellers and the entire aircraft brokerage industry.

Experienced aircraft brokers may become ABAi Certified Aircraft Brokers through a "grandfathering" process through the end of 2009. These individuals are screened by a credentialing committee to assure that their past experience qualifies them to be awarded status as a Certified Aircraft Broker. For those brokers whose experience level does not qualify them to be grandfathered in and for all others who would like to become an aircraft broker, ABAi offers a certification course designed to provide the information and resources necessary for these individuals to become knowledgeable Certified Aircraft Brokers.

In addition, ABAi has developed a Code of Ethics that all members must adhere to in order to maintain membership in the association. This code of ethics along with our certification training course is designed to raise the standard of excellence in the aircraft brokerage industry.
